The Social Battery Is Dead: A Field Guide to Introvert Summer in Cyprus
Share
Summer in Cyprus — and across Greece — is a full-contact social sport. Beach clubs, cousin’s baptism, the neighbour’s BBQ, the other neighbour’s BBQ. For introverts, it’s a marathon — and by mid-July, the social battery is well and truly dead. Here’s how to survive it (with the only honest wardrobe).
1. The beach club
Loud, crowded, relentlessly upbeat. Arrive early, claim a lounger at the edge, and let your shirt do the talking so you don’t have to.
2. The family gathering
You will be asked when you’re getting married. Repeatedly. A tee that quietly announces your energy levels sets expectations before the first “έλα ρε.”
3. The mandatory group event
Sometimes you just have to show up. The trick is a graceful early exit — and a shirt that everyone already understood.
The uniform
There’s really only one honest response: our Social Battery Critically Low tee. Pair it with the Normal People Scare Me tee for the days you’ve given up entirely. Soft cotton, bold print, minimal small talk required.
